Unburdened - A Change To The Name Of This Newsletter
Prolib on Substack will now be known as Unburdened

Greetings, everyone.
I started this newsletter about a month ago as more of an experiment than anything else.
I’ve always enjoyed writing but I never felt certain about writing a blog regularly. Was it something I could keep up with? If I did would anyone ever read it? If they did would they ever enjoy it?
The last month has shown me that there are some people out there who do enjoy what I get the compulsion to write, so much so that some have even supported me monetarily, which I find incredibly humbling. Thank you.
I chose “Prolib on Substack” because it was the first thing that popped into my head as I was setting it up and, truth be told, I really should have given it a bit of thought first.
Hindsight being 20/20, I’ve spent several days trying to think of a good name for this. I’ve entered tons of words into various thesaurus websites and nothing felt correct until today.
Unburdened hits right at the heart of what I want to do here: provide you with my Progressive perspectives on politics and social issues, sometimes write an article that’s purely satirical, and I’m sure at some point I’ll talk about Star Trek.
The core kernel at the center of all my thinking is one singular idea: that people should be self-governed and have a government that offers support and structure for all its citizens regardless of creed, origin, or financial status.
I feel like “Unburdened” emphasizes that ideal in a great way. It references freedom not only from the shackles of oppressive government but freedom from the shackles of restrictive thinking.
Being open-minded and accepting of different ideas, as long as those ideas are about advancing all of us together as a unified whole, instead of welfare for the wealthy and meager crumbs for the rest.
Anyway, I hope you’ll stick around because I have plenty more to say and sharing it with you is always a joy for me.
Welcome to Unburdened.
