My Petition To Rename Congress To "Elon Musk's Whores"

The Congress of the United States of America has let its constituents down.

The body has abdicated its authority, abandoned its responsibilities, and forgotten the people it is duty-bound to serve.

Instead, its members trade stocks to make millions, defend corporate interests that use colonization to enrich the already wealthy, and ignore the ongoing coup masterminded by the richest person on the planet.

For the record there are several members of Congress I like quite a bit and who have made concerted efforts to fight back. AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Maxwell Frost, Brian Schatz, Jamie Raskin, and Bernie Sanders all come to mind.

However, they are sadly a very small minority in a much larger group. It does pain me to include them in this as they don’t deserve the shame and derision I am showing to the institution as a whole.

The rest of them deserve this derision, and some deserve far more.

Congress has become beholden to enriching themselves first and foremost by sucking up to Donald Trump, a felon who was convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records, and Elon Musk, a man who is wealthy and loves giving Nazi salutes for funsies.

Trump, of course, is only the figurehead for Musk’s Administration and isn’t worth mentioning beyond that.

Musk himself, through his actions more than his words, understands that he now owns Congress utterly. They will never stand in his way, or even try to slow him down, preferring instead to find ways to enrich themselves off of their fealty to his latest whims.

To that end, I have begun a petition to rename Congress to “Elon Musk’s Whores”.
