Last Week In Unburdened
A digest of everything from the past week

I put together five stories last week, and this is a small summary of each.
First, I wrote about how Trump would use his proposed "U.S. Crypto Reserve” to make manipulating money easier for him and his cronies.
Next, I wrote about Trump’s declaration that “agitators” would be “imprisoned” for “illegal protests”.
After Rep. Al Green stood up to Trump during his address to Congress, I wrote about American icon John Lewis and the lengths he went to when standing up for what he called “the Beloved Community”.
A draft executive order would have eliminated the Department of Education, and I wrote about how doing so would affect children with disabilities the most. Thankfully, Trump has backed off of this disastrous plan, but Secretary McMahon still seems determined to dismantle the DoE.
Repealing Section 230 of the Communications Act would create a firestorm of litigation that could bury most online platforms, from Wikipedia to Bluesky. I wrote about the potential consequences and included some fun responses from Bluesky users.
That was our week around here. Thanks for reading.
