Who Is The Actual President?
Trump claims he didn't sign the Alien Enemies Act Proclamation
UPDATE: The Trump Regime is now claiming Trump was referencing the original AEA, and not the Proclamation

Original story follows:
In a stunning admission, Donald Trump, who is technically President of the United States, claims he didn’t sign the Alien Enemies Act proclamation which allowed our government to deport multiple Venezuelan migrants to a prison in El Salvador.
“I don’t know when it was signed, because I didn’t sign it,” Trump told reporters before leaving the White House on Friday evening.
The president made his comments when asked to respond to Judge James Boasberg’s criticism in court on Friday that the proclamation was “signed in the dark” of night.
“We want to get criminals out of our country, number one, and I don’t know when it was signed because I didn’t sign it,” Trump said. “Other people handled it, but (Secretary of State) Marco Rubio has done a great job and he wanted them out and we go along with that. We want to get criminals out of our country.”
Here is the link to the Federal Register where the proclamation is filed. Trump’s signature appears at the bottom of the document.
Trump said he supports the deportations of migrants because it won him the election and any further deportations would be up to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
This comes on the heels of Trump asserting President Biden didn’t sign multiple pardons during his last days in office that sought to protect members of the January 6th committee from being targeted by Trump’s regime.

In case you were curious, multiple experts agree this is completely without merit and Politifact has rated the assertion that autopen makes pardons “void” as completely false.
All of this begs the question: if these proclamations can be written, signed with Trump’s signature, and filed in the Federal Register then who is acting President of the United States?
Is it Marco Rubio who Trump said would make decisions about any more possible deportations?
Is it Elon Musk who is both in charge of DOGE and not in charge of DOGE depending on whether or not a judge is asking the question (here is a whole thread from Anna Bower on Bluesky who is the founder of the Who Is The Administrator Of DOGE (WITAOD) movement)?
Is it Stephen Miller who seems a LOT like the kind of guy who would love to deport Venezuelans to El Salvador slave prisons just for funsies?
Is it some other staffer, Cabinet member, or just some random 19-year-old that Elon Musk met on X and invited into the White House?
Is Trump just flat-out lying to cover his ass for some reason?
